Welcome to the world connection of Mid Rivers Music Instruments. We are a full service music store with seven staff members, our repair tech, and 15 teachers with 350 + students taking lessons weekly. We want to take this time to invite you to look over our website and get an idea of the professional attitude we offer in sales, rentals, and service of a full line of musical instruments including drums, guitars, electric keyboards, school band and orchestra instruments, accessories, & PA equipment.
John Sherwin and his wife Peggy opened the store in September of 1995 and have continued to bring the St Charles County service to musicians ever since. John is a saxophone player and loves to talk to people about reed instruments – if you have any questions – John loves helping and learning more about single reed instruments. His choice of instrument is a Keilworth tenor sax he purchased 9 years ago and recently he has purchased a Dukoff “D9” to play on. Other musicians include Eddie Freeman. Eddie works as a salesperson in the store and teaches guitar and bass lessons. Other members include John Smith – John knows trumpets. John has played since, well lets just say he is a baby boomer, does that tell you he has been playing awhile? Brett Pierce is the night manager. Brett works as a salesperson and plays guitar and bass professionally. Mr. Sherwin insists on training his staff on all instruments so they can assist the full line of products they offer.
Rentals are a good cost effective introduction to music. At Mid Rivers Music we can make it easy to rent an instrument and find the instrument of your choice to play for life. Make the change in your life now and find out at a very low cost what joy it is to play music. Rentals of instruments make it cost effective for a person who is not sure if playing an instrument is what they really want to do. If you decide you no longer want to play you can return the instrument and you don’t owe anything more.
We offer lessons for all styles of guitar, bass guitar, banjo, mandolin, piano, voice, drums/percussion, violin, viola, cello, saxophone, clarinet, flute, trumpet, trombone, low brass, and harmonica. We have 11 studios available to accommodate the quantity of students in the area. Click on the Lessons tab to find out more!
We also repair instruments of all types. John Lupton is our repair tech. John has been repairing instruments and playing bass professionally for many years. For more information on repairs or our repair tech, visit the Rentals page.
